The partnership of JB Glass and Glazing started on 1st March 1979. At that time there were Jerry Burston. ( that’s where the J.B. came from) Ray Hill and Roy Oaten. Now 29 years on, a ‘grey-haired’ Roy Oaten survives as a sole trader.

The shop is now managed by Mr. James Cooke who started work here when he was just 15 and was just a Saturday boy and the odd evening, after school. Now 36 and has a wealth of knowledge about the – always changing trade. We remain a very ”hands-on” business and with a small, dedicated staff, deal with all sorts of problems and emergencies ( not a 24hr call out.)

We are happy to be known as the ”GLASS SHOP” on Filton Ave ”Glass cut to size” Is still required and we are able to take orders over the phone, fax or email. We have a tremendous following of customers old and new. The manager James Cooke and his helpful assistant Bristol Blue Collectables and Trophies manager Matthew Gapper are mines of information.

The business has changed over the years from the straight forward new and repair glazing to PVCU,and Alluminium replacement windows and doors. We are registered with FENSA(11716) and have our installations checked and registered on a regular basis. Our PVCU products are made locally and use the Decuininck “Royale Classic and Encore System”. High Gloss White finish Rosewood or Golden Oak, Internally glazed and trickle vents, fire escape and Easy Clean- hinges., All with 10 year insurance approved high security locking mechanism .The Kitemarked Double Glazed units are also made locally. Our surveyor Ray Hill and our own Installation manager/ fitter, Barry Baber and his assistant Adrian Tanner do all the ordering details an( they know how to work with the customer to ensure that the instalations go smoothly and cleanly .

All of our work comes with a free 10 year guarantee on materials and labour, all of which is backed by the QANW insurance guarantee and FENSA.
